Introduction

Lazgo 2 is a turn-based strategy game. One player can play alone against the computer, against a second player on the same computer, or against an opponent over the Internet. It is a board game, but can be played on a grid of any shape. There are 10 different boards included with the game, each with different shapes and piece layouts. Each player is given the same number and type of pieces, including the most important, the Laser piece. The object of the game is to use your Laser to shoot your opponent's, or to force your opponent to run out of "Lazgo", the fuel that powers your Laser.
Each player starts with a certain amount of Lazgo, and it slowly recharges as the game progresses. It is reduced every time you shoot your Laser, and can be dramatically reduced if your Power-Cell piece gets shot. Each
player is also equiped with offensive and defensive pieces that they must use to guide their Laser and to block their opponent's. The game runs under the Windows operating system in a convenient desktop window. Lazgo contains spectacular original graphics and sound effects.

Using The Main Menu

Game Type Options
"One Player"
Select this option to play against the computer opponent. This is a good way to practise and learn the game before taking on Internet opponents.
"Two Player"
This selection will start a two player game that takes place on the same screen, and on the same board in the same window. Select this type of game to play against someone at the same computer with you.
"Internet Game"
This selection will start a two player game that takes place on the same screen, and on the same board in the same window. Select this type of game to play against someone at the same computer with you.
then choose a board...

The default board for the demo is "Careful Strategy". For the full version, the default is the first board in the 'Lazgo2\boards\' directory. To select a different board to play on, press the down arrow to drop down the list of all installed boards.

Lazgo Supply Options
"Starting Level"
This is the amount of Lazgo both players will start out with. The default is 100.
"Move Charge"
Each time you make a move your Lazgo level will re-charge by this amount.
"Laser Drain"
Lasers run off your lazgo supply. Each time you fire, your Lazgo supply will be drained by this amount.
"Power Up"
When you shoot a powerup you are given 4 choices, one of which is to give your Lazgo level a boost. This is the amount it will charge.
"Power Cell"

If this is given a high value, then make protecting your Power-Cell piece a priority in your game. This value represents the amount your Lazgo level will be drained if your Power-Cell gets shot.

Internet Options
"Host"
Select this to host the game. The host decides which board to play and what the game settings will be. Someone must connect to you for the game to start.
"Join"
Use join to connect to someone who is hosting a game. You will need to know the IP address of the host (Unless you use something like GameSpy Arcade to connect your game).
"IP"

This is where you enter the IP of the host you want to join.

Turn Options
"No Time Limit"
Checking this option will completely disable the time limit on turns. This allows you to play a sparse game over a long period of time.
